You must

• show that you have enough money to fund your trip 
• obey the law and have no record of criminal activity 
• not be a danger to Canada’s security,
• be in good health 
• give the officer any other documents they ask for to prove your case 
• convince the visa officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets, or family that will make you go back to your home country
• convince the officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
